The Ratae bureau was the base of operations utilized by the Roman branch of the Hidden Ones in Leicester, England. The bureau was later discovered and explored by shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir in the late 9th century.[1]
History
The bureau was established at some point prior to 164 CE, when a contract was issued for overseeing the retreat of Roman forces from the Antonine Wall, undertaken successfully by Magister Eghan. Around 423, Magister Vitus ordered the evacuation of the Hidden Ones from Britannia, directing them to the Cologne bureau.[1]
In the late 9th century, Eivor Varinsdottir, tasked with uncovering the abandoned bureaus of England by Hytham, discovered the Ratae bureau and recovered a page from The Magas Codex and the gloves of a Hidden One.[1]
