The Priest was one of Girolamo Savonarola's nine Lieutenants killed during the Bonfire of the Vanities by Ezio Auditore da Firenze.

Challenge

The priest stands on the Duomo, near the tallest point in Florence, preaching to the people below in favor of Savonarola, his men are stationed all over the building, ready to call alarm and foil Ezio's assassination attempt. Ezio climbs the building unnoticed, avoiding the many guards stationed there to protect the priest, and silencing the ones in his way, or those who would see him once he began moving up the dome. Ezio reaches the top, stabbing the two guards who patrolled the highest balcony before they had a chance to raise alarm, and snuck up behind the preacher, ending his life quickly.

Final Words

Priest: I thought he preached the word of God.

Ezio Auditore: I fear his sermon is a lie.

Priest: I led my flock astray... It's just... I wanted so badly to believe...

Ezio Auditore: We all do. Vedrò compiuta l’opera di mio padre (I will see my father’s work complete)... Requiescat in pace (Rest in peace).
