Plated Vambraces

The Plated Vambraces were vambraces used widely in the 5th century BCE Greece. Made by layering the cloth with metal plates, the vambraces protected arms from shallow blows.
During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra found this piece of armor in the inventories of blacksmiths and looted it from bodies and chests during her travels throughout Greece.[1]
