The Ouroboros Shield was a light shield inspired by Jörmungandr, the world-eating snake.
During the Viking expansion into England, the shield was made available to the shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan through an Animus modification by Layla Hassan, an Assassin who relieved her memories.[1]
