Officers are troops appointed to positions of authority and power in the British Army.

They usually command a section or above and are responsible for the wellbeing and deployment of their troops.

Officers share the same colour scheme with a jacket.

Officers display ostentatious gear and embellishments as denotes their position.

Gameplay

Officers are the main second tier enemies in Assassin's Creed III. They are almost ubitquous in the cities, forts and frontiers alike, accompanied by a body of troops.

Officers can parry and attack in rapid succession and can be dangerous if not countered properly. Direct attacks will result in a parry and counterattacks lead to a punch. Disarms, defence breaks and execution streaks are all viable tactics.

Officers are armed with sabres and flintlocks.

Officers are percept\ive and may see through blended spots (such as benches) and disguises. They can employ advanced tactics.
