Nutmeg

Nutmeg is a seed or ground spice of the genus Myristica. The common use of nutmeg is in the form of a spice or powder, used to flavor many foods, such as baked goods, potatoes, and meats.
History
During the early 16th century in Rome, Italy, nutmeg was detailed to be a popular spice derived from the seeds of the myristica fragrans. The spice was collected by the Assassin Mentor Ezio Auditore da Firenze of the Italian Brotherhood of Assassins during his campaign against the Templar Cesare Borgia. To complete a shop quest for the Roman doctors, Ezio traded three amounts of nutmeg, with other distinct trade goods, to retrieve fast poison.[1]
Nutmeg was also collected between the missions of an Assassin group, consisting of Francesco Vecellio, Tessa Varzi, and Cipriano Enu. The spice itself was used as part of creating and filling a number of poison vials for their missions.[2]
