| This article is about the sky goddess in the Egyptian pantheon. You may be looking for Mut, another goddess in the Egyptian pantheon. |

Nut was the goddess of the sky in Egyptian mythology and was mother to Osiris, Isis, and Seth.[1] A painting of Nut was depicted in a hyena lair in the Sinai. During the late 1st century BCE, the Egyptian scavenger Si-Mut visited the hyena lair and documented his encounter with the painting in his papyrus.[2]
