Nikolai Orelov
Nikolai Orelov (Russian: Николай Орелав) was an Assassin who lived during the Russian Revolution. He is the main character of the new Assassin's Creed comic book mini-series. There will be three issues, each one concentrating on different periods of Orelov's life: as an apprentice Assassin, as a Master Assassin and as a veteran Assassin.
Biography
Orelov lived in the early 20th century, and operated mainly in Petrograd, Russia. He was once apprenticed to a more experienced Assassin.
Orelov would have at least one child and was the ancestor of the modern-day Daniel Cross.
Appearance
Orelov wore a large fur coat with the traditional Assassin's hood. He wielded one Hidden Blade, a dagger, a sabre and a rifle. He wore a sash and a baldric with the Assassins' emblem on it.
Trivia
- The name Orelov is based on the Russian surname Orlov, which means 'son of oryol', and 'oryol' means 'eagle'. It could also come from Orel, which is Slovenian for 'eagle'.
