The Nestorian Monastery was a monastery in the north of Baghdad, located in Harbiyah's remote district of Zubaydiyah. Surrounded by the Ditch Sluice of the Fief and the Greeks' Gate, the monastery belonged to a group of Christians who followed the teachings of theologian Nestorius.
During the 860s, the Hidden One Basim Ibn Ishaq visited the monastery's cemetery and met a monk, who sought his aid to recover remains that would benefit more than leaving it buried in the ground. The monk's acts of desecration drew the attention of the Caliphate guards, who sought to punish him. Basim defended the monk and helped him eliminate the guards.[1]
Around the same time, Basim also recovered the Tafsir al-Tabari beneath the monastery's crypts.[2] and a outfit dye for the Abbasid Knight outfit under a tree.[3]
