Nancy is the capital of the north-eastern French department of Meurthe-et-Moselle, and formerly the capital of the Duchy of Lorraine, and then the French province of the same name.

History

Gabriel Laxart grew up in Nancy living with his mother and stepfather. He helped his stepfather with his merchant business based in the capital. His duties included; counting coins, writing receipts, and managing inventory. However after the latter's death from fever, Gabriel was sent to live with his biological father in Burey-en-Vaux.
