Muhammad
Muhammad (c. 570 – 632) was an Arab social, political and religious leader who founded Islam, an Abrahamic monotheistic religion which is the second largest after Christianity.[1] According to Islamic doctrine, he was a prophet divinely inspired to preach and confirm the monotheistic teachings of Adam, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and other prophets. He is believed to be the Seal of the Prophets within Islam, with the Quran as well as his teachings and practices forming the basis of Islamic religious belief.
His legacy is profound, having laid the foundation for the third Abrahamic Religion that has grown to become the second most practiced faith in the world with 1.8 Billion Followers proclaiming themselves as Muslims. In the coming centuries after his death, many parts of the Middle East and Northern Africa would become exposed to his teachings, Arab Culture and hegemony.
