The five artifacts.

There were five artifacts to be found within Monteriggioni in the modern times. These items are notable for being seen during Ezio Auditore's life, and were all owned by members of the Auditore family. Desmond Miles found the artifacts while he and the other Assassins were hiding in the Sanctuary. He stored the artifacts on a set of shelves, left of his laptop.

Maria's Feather Chest

The chest in which Maria Auditore kept the feathers collected for her, in memory of her youngest son.

Upon exiting the Sanctuary, turn behind you and run up the wall towards the round window. Take the lift and go to the top of the roof. The feather chest is to the left, inside a cannonball crater.

Ezio's Belt

The belt worn by Master Assassin Ezio Auditore.

Stay near the right wall and head along roofs towards the very front, near the main gate. The artifact will be on a lower level roof on a fenced balcony, near the corner.

The Medici Cape

The cape that Lorenzo de' Medici granted Ezio Auditore after he saved his life, by killing the Pazzi Conspirators.

It can be found in plain sight, on the altar inside of the church. The church to the east of Monteriggioni (with the Villa in the north) can easily be spotted from most rooftops by its cross and steeple.

Claudia's Record Book

The book that Claudia Auditore used to chronicle the records of Monteriggioni's wealth.

When you exit the Sanctuary, turn around and reenter Mario's Study, though be careful not to go too far into the room or you will be returned to the hideout. It is the right side of the door way along the wall.

Mario's Sword

The sword that Mario Auditore used as his personal blade.

Upon exiting the hideout, go to the front of the villa. Head down the stairs towards the training ring and jump over the ledges directly in front of you. Continue straight forward (the well with the Assassins' symbol will be behind you) until you reach a street with trashcans on your left and a white car on your right. Head down the alley the car is in, towards a tree. The sword will be sticking out of a stone directly next to the tree.

Trivia

  • Strangely, before leaving for the Colosseum, the shelf where the artifacts were placed is empty.
  • The achievement "Dust to Dust" requires that you find at least one of these.
