Mjolnir Smida
Mjolnir Smida was the forge, where Thor's hammer Mjölnir was created, in northern Svaladal, Svartálfaheimr.
History
In Eivor Varinsdottir's visions of Odin's time in Svartalfheim, the Æsir lord Havi discovered the forge atop a mountain and recalled the time it was used by dwarven brothers and blacksmiths Brokkr and Sindri. A bet was made between both Havi and Loki about the blacksmiths' skill and their creations' quality. Despite Loki's efforts to distract Brokkr when he transformed as a fly, the design of Mjölnir was only flawed in its handle but superior overall. With him losing the bet with the other creations of Gullinbursti and Draupnir, Loki wagered his head. However, he managed to scheme his way out of his promise.[1]
