The fighting ring in Mitre Square

Mitre Square is a square in London, United Kingdom.

History[edit | edit source]

On 30 September 1888, the square was where the rogue British Assassin Jack the Ripper murdered two Assassin initiates who were impersonating the prostitutes Elizabeth Stride and Catherine Eddowes. Their teacher and Master Assassin Jacob Frye, alerted of the murders,[1] travelled to the scene to investigate and lure out Jack.[2]

After Jack took control of Jacob's Rooks, he established an illegal fight club near the square. In October, the Metropolitan Police Service's Inspector Frederick Abberline requested Jacob's sister Evie Frye to shut down the club.[3]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

Although the game text and dialogue treat both the location of Stride's death and the location of the fight club as Mitre Square, they are separated by more than a block on the in-game map.
