The Mercato Vecchio is a major trading centre in the city of Florence. It was the trading hub of the city and satified all the needs of the citizens. The Mercato was founded in Roman times, but only in 1030 comes the first mention of a market on the site. In Assassin's Creed II one of Savonarola's lieutenants can be found here and a glyph is located nearby.
