Maximilien François Marie Isidore Robespierre (6 May 1758 – 28 July 1794) was a French lawyer and politician, and a member of the National Constituent Assembly from 9 July 1789 to 30 September 1791. He was notable for starting the Reign of Terror during the French Revolution.
