Mary Ann Todd Lincoln (13 December 1818 – 16 July 1882) was the wife of United States President Abraham Lincoln, and thus she was First Lady.

In early-1862, Mary and her husband, personally invited the Italian opera singer Adelina Patti to perform for them following one of her American tour concerts.[1]
