Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa (64/62 BCE – 12 BCE) was a Roman consul, statesman, general and architect.

He was responsible for the creation of many baths, porticoes and gardens, as well as the original Pantheon.

Trivia

Agrippa was closely related to many members of the Julio-Claudian dynasty. He was a close friend and son-in-law of Roman Emperor Augustus, father-in-law to the second Emperor Tiberius, maternal grandfather to the Emperor Caligula and maternal great-grandfather to the Emperor Nero.
