Lykosoura Ruins

The Lykosoura Ruins were the ruins of an ancient Arkadian city. Located on a hill, merely crumbling remains had survived the ravages of time by the 5th century BCE, with only a tower and the Origins of the Karyatids left somewhat standing. The ruins were also near a statue of Herakles said to be created by Daidalos.[1]
During the Peloponnesian War, the ruins were visited by the Spartan misthios Kassandra.[2]
