The Lighthouse of Alexandria, also known as the Pharos of Alexandria, was a lighthouse built by the Ptolemaic Kingdom between 280 BCE and 247 BCE in Alexandria. It was considered as one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World before its destruction.
