Amun (deity)
- "Amun, the king of gods, divided in two forms as the great goddess of invisibility Amunet, and master of the wind. He upholds justice. Lord of the shadow and the silence, he comes at the voice of the poor. He hears the confession the humble, and forgives them."
- ―Bayek describing Amun, c. 49 BCE.[src]
Amun, meaning "the Hidden One", was a major deity in the Egyptian pantheon. He was eventually fusioned with the sun god Ra, becoming known as Amun-Ra.
Amun was considered the champion of the poor and downtrodden who upheld justice, as well as the king of the gods, divided into two forms as Amunet, the goddess of invisibility, and master of the wind. A temple was dedicated to him in Siwa, and he was often represented by a ram.
