The dictum, or destiny, prescribed by Fate was unyielding. Men, gods, and monsters, whether as individuals or members of a clan, had to bend to the will of Fate. No one could alter it, and everyone had to acccept it.
Scandinavian legends say that a time will come when the harmony of the universe collapes into a fight of cataclysmic proportions. This is the ultimate Fate of the Nine Worlds, an apocalpytic, fatalistic outcome called Ragnarök. This drawing shows a scene from this epic final fight.
