Monsieur Le Fanu (unknown – 1790) was a French member of the Templar Order loyal to the De la Serres. Despite the turning of many bribed or threatened sympathizers of the conservative faction and the murder of the rest, Le Fanu still wanted to pledge his loyalty to Élise de la Serre and support her legitimate claim for Grand Mastery.
However, he was killed by Germain's faction before he could do it, his throat sliced. Despite being known as a loving family man and a faithfull husband, Le Fanu's body was put into a whorehouse, from which it was extracted in front of all the passersby and was thrown naked onto the street. Used as an exemple, Le Fanu was then posthumously stripped of his Templar rank for this dishonour and thus his family was prevented from any support from the Order. Élise who wanted to help his family, learn than disgraced and without ressources, Le Fanu's wife, Claire, had taken the lives of their children and then killed herself.
