Lancelot (French for Lancelot of the Lake), also written as Launcelot and other variants, was one of the members of the Knights of the Round Table in King Arthurian legend.

At one point, he presented a sword to Gareth, a fellow member of the Knights of the Round Table, who used it to defeat the Black Knight.[1]
