Lake Poseidon was a small lake on top of a hill in the northern reaches of Limnai Marsh region of Lakonia, Greece.

Named after the half-buried statue of the Greek god Poseidon at the bottom of the pool, a group of Daughters of Artemis had set up a camp around the lake during the Peloponnesian War. At some point during said conflict the Spartan misthios Kassandra infiltrated the camp, killing the leader of the Daughters and claiming their valuables.[1]
