Knights of the Round Table
The Knights of the Round Table are the knights in the fellowship of King Arthur Pendragon in the Arthurian legends.
History
At one point, Lancelot presented a sword to Gareth, a fellow member of the Round Table who used it to defeat the Black Knight.[1]
Legacy
By the late 9th century, Sir Gareth's Holy Sword came into the possession of the monks at Ferrières, a monastery along the Rhine, who bestowed it upon their protector. During her travels, the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan acquired this great sword after defeating the champion.[2]
In 2020, Layla Hassan, an Assassin who relieved Eivor's memories, modified her Animus and included a set of armor, a shield and a sword based on the knights as part of the shieldmaiden's armory and arsenal.[3]
