Kisshōten (吉祥天), also known as Kissho ten'nyo (吉祥天女) is a Japanese Buddhist deity, known as the goddess of happiness, fertility, and beauty.[1] In 1582, when Hattori Hanzō found Fujibayashi Naoe inside the ruins of Sakafuneishi, he retold his betrayal of the original Kakushiba ikki, and his feelings for Tsuyu, Naoe's mother, whose beauty Hanzō compared to Kissho ten'nyo herself.[2]
