Juan Vedomir
Juan Vedomir (unknown - 11 June 1747) was a Spanish businessman in Altea and a member of the Assassin Order. He was in the possession of a journal which detailed research into the location of the Grand Temple.
In 1747, the Grand Master of the Templar Order's British Rite, Reginald Birch, tasked Haytham Kenway with killing Vedomir, claiming that Vedomir was a traitor to the Templar Order. Kenway travelled to Altea, where he was allowed to enter Vedomir's villa under the guise of a Genoese cheesemaker. Vedomir welcomed him into his chambers, but was quick to notice Kenway's English accent; due to Spain and England being at war, Vedomir raised no suspicions to his deception.
As Vedomir was preparing to taste Kenway's cheese, the latter took off his neck scarf and palmed a knife from his shoulder bag, which he dropped into the scarf. As Vedomir realized that the cheese was from the local cheesemaker Varela, Vedomir became hostile to Kenway, who then lunged at Vedomir. A struggle ensued, though Kenway managed to gain the upper hand, strangling Vedomir's neck with his scarf as he declared that Vedomir had been sentenced to death for his treason.
