Johan was Bombastus' apprentice in Basel. He became insane after having looked at The Book.

Upon Giovanni Borgia's arrival in Basel, Johan claimed to know the future and asked for Consus. When Giovanni demanded that he repeat himself, Johan pretended that he was saying "Consent".
