Johan was Bombastus' apprentice in Basel. He went insane after having looked at The Book.

Upon Giovanni Borgia's arrival, Johan claimed to know the future and also asked for Consus. When Giovanni demanded that he repeat himself, Johan pretended that he was saying "Consent".
