Jeanne
Jeanne, a woman of Haitian Creole descent, was the wife of Philippe de Grandpré and the mother of the Assassin, Aveline de Grandpré. In 1759, she mysteriously disappeared after her daughter let go of her hand in the middle of New Orleans.
Sometime after her disappearance, Aveline traced her whereabouts to Chicen Itza, where she resided in a freed slaves' colony near a Mayan temple.
Trivia
- Before giving it to her daughter as a necklace, Jeanne was in possession of an amulet belonging to Those Who Came Before, which had the ability to open the entrance to the Grand Temple along with the use of an Apple. It is strikingly similar if not identical in appearance to the amulet that the Assassin, Ratonhnhaké:ton, took from the Templar, Charles Lee.
- It is unclear whether she was a Templar or not, but upon seeing the iconic Hidden Blade fastened to her daughter's forearm, she immediately turned to flee for fear of her life being in danger.
- 3 known men that appear in Assassin's Creed III: Liberation are known to have had romantic feelings for her: Aveline's father, Philippe, her mentor Agate, and Mackandal, Agate's former ally and friend.
