Indian Brotherhood of Assassins
The Indian Assassins were a branch of Assassins located in India, and were the enemies of Portuguese explorers under the secret command of the Templars.
History
Renaissance
During the early 16th century, the Indian Assassins received help from the Italian Assassins to fight off the Portugese employed by Manuel I of Portugal in Calicut, who was puppeteered by the Templars. They set Pedro Álvares Cabral's storehouses and shops on fire, and took out several key commanders of his army. After Cabral's departure, the Assassins found out that they knew the location of the Calicut Assassins Guild.
After Manuel I sent Vasco da Gama to Calicut to enforce the Portuguese rule, the Indian Assassins hid several relics and documents and evacuated their family and friends. They established an army of disguised Assassins, and killed most of Gama's commanders in plain sight, forcing them to flee.
