Hysing the World-Wise was an Norse man from Rygjafylke, Norway in the 9th century.

In the 870s, Hysing the World-Wise lost his wife as his mind seemed to have deteriorated as well. His son, Djon, was told to take care of him in his last years by his late mother. However, Hysing's loss of his wits kept declining. At one moment, Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan visited Hysing and Djon's home and encountered Hysing first. After his "tour" of England to Eivor, Djon came to find them as he told Eivor of Hysing's condition. There, Eivor decided on how to treat his current condition. She soon wished Djon good luck and complimented him on his honor helping his father.[1]
