Holborn Viaduct
The Holborn Viaduct is a bridge across the Fleet River in London, England.
Originally built in 1869 to span the length of the Fleet River, the viaduct was meant to be not only infrastructure but also a piece of art, being painted in red and gold and adorned with four statues, representing Agriculture, Commerce, Science, and Fine Art. In November 1869, it was officially unveiled in a ceremony lead by Queen Victoria on a reportedly a beautiful day with clear sunny skies.[2]
