Henry II (1133 – 1189) was King of England from 1154 until his death, he was the first king of the House of Plantagenet. Upon his death, his fifth son Richard bore to him by his wife Eleanor, Duchess of Aquitaine succeeded him.[1] His four previous sons predeceased himself.[2]
