Helena, also known as Helena Augusta and Saint Helena, (c. 246/248 AD – c. 330)[1] was an Empress of the Roman Empire and mother of Roman emperor Constantine I.

Revered as a saint after her death, by the 870s a church in Colchester, a city in Essex, England was dedicated to her.[2]
