The Hall of the Forty-Nine Skulls was a shrine and a tomb located in Argos, Argolis, Greece. It was dedicated to the 49 slain sons of Aigyptos.
According to the stories, Danaos' 50 daughters were supposed to marry his brother's 50 sons. As a wedding present from their father, each of Danaos' daughters received a dagger, and a command to kill their husbands. All but Hypermnestra obeyed.[1]
During the Peloponnesian War the Spartan misthios Kassandra visited the tomb-shrine.[1]
