Gungnir Smida
Gungnir Smida was the forge, where Odin's spear Gungnir was created, in southern Svaladal, Svartálfaheimr.
History
In Eivor Varinsdottir's visions of Odin's time in Svartalfheim, the Æsir lord Havi discovered the forge and recalled the time Loki ordered a weapon for Havi from Ivaldi's sons, which was the spear Gungnir, as one of the gifts he needed to regain favor in Ásgarðr. The spear was made of "sunlight" and the strongest of Asgardian metal. The tip was carved by runes to guide its path as it made the spear never miss its mark.[1]
