Biography

Background

Giuletta was a member of the Roman Courtesan's Guild and worked under Madonna Solari, the original owner of the Rosa in Fiore brothel, and her brother Santino. She remained an employee at the brothel when it was taken over by Claudia Auditore da Firenze.

During Assassin control

Giuletta was seduced by a wealthy Borgia-allied Roman, who remains unnamed. He became her benefactor in exchange for sex and secrets from the Courtesan's Guild especially its connection to the Assassins Guild. One of her fellow courtesans becomes suspicious of her and notifies Ezio Auditore, telling him to follow her to her benefactor. Upon reaching the benefactor Ezio kills him and confronts Giuletta. Having been found out, Giuletta tried to convince Ezio that she did not know that the benefactor was Borgia affiliated, to which Ezio tells her that she is no longer welcome in the Rosa in Fiore.

Giuletta was scared of Ezio and she was hated by all her fellow Courtesans after her betrayal, so she ran into the arms of another one of her lovers, a Spanish ambassador. This ambassador sold secrets to the church, endangering the Assassins' operations in Rome.

A courtesan suggested that Ezio intimidate Giuletta so that she would lead him back to her lover, and thus allow Ezio to kill him. Ezio walked up to her in the streets of Rome, where this time she pleaded for her life. Giuletta was much more frightened than before, swearing she could explain herself. Before Ezio could even consider her "explanation" she immediately fled the scene, running away to her ambassador. Ezio chased after her, but she was able to waylay him by calling out to Borgia guards to stop the Assassin. By the time Ezio caught up to her, the ambassador had emerged. He quickly killed the ambassador and then approached Giuletta again. Giuletta, scared for her life, pleaded with Ezio, telling him she had no choice. Ezio waved her excuses away, and told her to leave Rome.

Trivia

  • In the game, Giuletta's appearance is a randomly generated Courtesan appearance, although she will always have the same hair and clothes.
  • In Italy, the more common name is Giulietta, but, probably due to an error, the name is spelled "Giuletta" in the game.
  • Giuletta is the Italian variation of the name Juliet.
  • In the mission Old Habits Die Hard, she will glow red when viewed in Eagle Vision, but after killing the ambassador, she will immediately glow blue.
  • After the mission Running Scared, she will walk just like other Courtesans but when viewed in Eagle Vision she will glow red. She can be attacked but can't be killed. Also attacking her will cause any guards nearby to attack Ezio. Her health bar on that mission seemed to be there for no apparent reason.
