Gareth

Sir Gareth was a Knight of the Round Table who served in the court of his uncle King Arthur.

A member of the Pictish noble family which ruled the realm of Lothian, Gareth came to serve under Arthur, who is the half brother of his mother Queen Morgause. At some point, Gareth was given a great sword, which he used to slay the Black Knight during his quest to save Lyonesse, a young woman who eventually became his spouse.

Centuries later, Gareth's sword eventually came into the possession of the monks at a monastery situated along River Rhine in Central Europe.
