Galway is a city in the province of Connacht, Ireland.

History

In the early 18th century, Galway was the principal Irish port for trading with Spain and France and the city thrived on its international trade.[1] To take advantage of Galway's healthy economy, Welsh pirate Edward Kenway traded tobacco and cocoa with its merchants.[1][2]
