The rear entrance of the Führerbunker, 1947

The Führerbunker was an underground air-raid shelter in Berlin used by Adolf Hitler during the final months of World War II.

History

Through correspondence between high ranking Templar members, it was revealed that Hitler had planned to execute body doubles of himself and his newly-wedded wife Eva Braun on 30 April 1945 in the bunker though something went awry. Though the body double were executed, the Assassins got to Hitler and his wife as they made their way out of the bunker and assassinated them.[1] The Führerbunker was partially destroyed by the Soviets in 1947, and further demolition and burial efforts took place in the 1950s and 1980s to erase its remnants.[2]
