Francisco Pizzaro Gonzalez, Marquess (in Spanish, Francisco Pizarro González) (1471 or 1476 - 26 June 1541) was a Spanish Conquistador and a Marquess, whose conquests reached South America and the Incan Empire of Peru. He was also the founder of the city of Lima on January 18, 1535, as La Ciudad de los Reyes, or "The City of the Kings." It became the capital and most important city in the Spanish Viceroyalty of Peru. Following the Peruvian War of Independence, it became the capital of the Republic of Peru. He was killed by Diego de Almagro II and his brothers who were sercetly Assassins, in his Government Palace.
