Francis II (French: François II; 1544 – 1560) was King of France from 1559 to 1560. The son of King Henry II and Catherine de' Medici, he was also King consort of Scotland from his marriage tp Mary I.

After his death, the heart of Francis was stored in the chapel of the Church of the Celestines in Paris. Following the conversation of the church into a barracks, the heart of Francis, along with those of his father and Henry III was transferred to Louvre, to Saint-Denis.[1]
