Francesco Troche was a real person who appears in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood as a friend of Cesare Borgia, right until the point in which Cesare has him murdered.

Trivia:

In real life, there are disputes of whether Francesco Troche threw himself overboard a boat to drown in an act of suicide or if he was strangled in a prison when the boat arrived in Rome.
