I wanted to ask you something. Which is... what's your name?
This article title is conjecture. Although the article subject is canon, no official name for it has been given.
"Coraggio, vecchio."
―The young man to Ezio Auditore, 1524.[src]
The young man

An unidentified young man (fl. 1524) lived in Florence during the 16th century and was the last person to speak with Ezio Auditore da Firenze.

Biography

Encounter with Ezio

"I don't think Firenze is your problem."
―Ezio to the man, 1524.[src]

On 30 November 1524, the young man crossed paths with Ezio, who was out in Florence shopping with his family. Sitting down beside Ezio, he complained about the city and its women, for which he was berated. Seeing Ezio suddenly in physical distress, the young man espoused courage and took his leave. Moments later, Ezio suffered what appeared to be a heart attack and passed away in view of his family.[1]

Legacy

Abstergo employee 1: "But you saw the guy’s wrist, didn't you? There was a cross! Don't tell me that's just a coincidence."
Abstergo employee 2: "Officially, yes. It's a coincidence. End of story."
Abstergo employee 1: "Officially... Merde. And what about "Unofficially"."
Abstergo employee 2: "Unofficially... I don't know. I want to believe the best, but I always fear the worst. Now stop sticking your nose where it doesn't belong."
—Two Abstergo Entertainment employees, c. 2013[src]-[m]

In 2013, an Abstergo Entertainment employee who worked on the Sample 17 Project theorized the young man might have played a role in Ezio's death, possibly even being a Templar.[2]
