Fear bombs were gaseous chemical weapons developed by the Indian Brotherhood of Assassins. It was soon adopted by the British Assassins, so as to enhance their intimidation tactics as well as immensely reducing unnecessary casualties by scarring enemies off instead.
When used, the chemicals released from the pellet transform into a gaseous cloud of hallucinogenic powder, at the same time giving off a frightful demonic scream. The power then induces intense phobic hallucinations to those caught within its blast radius, forcing even the strongest of their enemies ranks to flee in fear and terror.
After learning from the Indian Assassins, Evie Frye utilized these fear bombs in her own missions, notably in her hunt for Jack the Ripper, who utilized these fear bombs for his own sadistic purposes.
