Faction buildings were buildings owned by one of three factions located throughout Rome and Constantinople during the Renaissance. They were renovated by the Assassin Ezio Auditore during its liberation in the 15th century.

Each faction building belonged to either the Courtesans, Mercenaries, or Thieves. Once a faction building was renovated, the members of the faction could be found outside, ready to assist Ezio for a payment. The faction buildings also generated income for Ezio, which could be collected from banks.

Ezio could reassign a building to another faction whenever he desired, although at the same full price. Renovating or reassigning a faction building cost 1,200 or 900 florins respectively.

In Constantinople, Ezio could renovate them for the thieves, mercenaries or Romanies. They also provided a stream of income to Ezio, working by the same system used in Rome.

Trivia

• If attempting to complete the Guild Challenges, you can keep changing a building's faction, which will always make a new group of the corresponding faction appear, speeding up the process of finding enough groups to hire.
