Esquiline Hill

The Esquiline Hill (Latin: Collis Esquilinus, Italian: Esquilino) is the southernmost of the Seven Hills of Rome. The Esquiline was another fashionable residential district. Emperor Nero confiscated property here to build his opulent Golden Palace.

The Roman Emperor Trajan also constructed his bath complex on the Esquiline. Its remains are still standing modern times.
