Esquiline Hill

The Esquiline Hill (Italian: Esquilino) was a landmark located in the Italian city of Rome. The Roman Emperor Trajan constructed his bath complex on the Esquiline, which is still visible in modern times.

The southernmost of the Seven Hills of Rome, the Esquiline was another fashionable residential district. Emperor Nero confiscated property here to built his opulent Golden Palace.
